ABOUT ME

I am a self-taught acrylic artist from Lockport, Manitoba.  Some of my inspiration comes from my love of travel and the outdoors.  My paintings usually consist of bold, bright colours.  I enjoy painting florals, traditional landscape and cars/airplanes.  I have recently expanded to painting abstract landscapes.

My commitment to my artistic practice extends beyond the canvas. I am an active participant in the local art scene, teaching painting to adults and children and contributing to community projects and exhibitions. I volunteer my time at the Gwen Fox Gallery in Selkirk, Manitoba, St. Andrews Heritage Centre and the St. Andrews Community Club. I am the creator and organizer behind the multi-artist show, “Interlake Artist Collective 16x20 Show” (St. Andrews, Manitoba).

Aside from my passion for painting, I enjoy camping, gardening, travelling and spending time with my family.  My work may be viewed on my Instagram account @pattisimkoart.
